Recently, as the days till I leave slowly dwindle, I've struggled with the thought of saying "goodbye" to some of the comfortable aspects of my life such as; friends, things im involved with and of course my FAVORTIE coffee shop! But definitely what I've struggled with most is how to say "goodbye" to some friends. Not a goodbye as in I will never see you again, but a temporary goodbye, "I'll see ya later" kind of thing. How do you say goodbye to your best friend? Katie and I have become super close this past year and I thank God for bringing her into my life. I'd say we are walking the same path and I am so excited! I know if im having a hard day, a great day or if I just need someone to talk to she will always be there for me (unless she's at camp-then it becomes questionable....haha) However, when I leave (in a short 27 days) I will say good bye to our dinner dates like the one we had tonight. Like I said before though, I really feel we are walking almost the same path. Well sort of different goals in life but we are both headed in the same direction--eternal life. We just get each other. So tonight we decided to stay in contact and close by continuing the accountability we have with each other by going through the bible, starting in Ruth (I know weird place to start--but is there ever a bad place in the bible to start... I don't think so.) So I am over joyed to be continuing the accountability we have by walking through the book The Living Room Series: Ruth by Kelly Minter! Im so glad I'll be walking through Ruth with my best friend along this wonderful journey God has called me to. And pray that God will teach Katie and I both amazing things and open our eyes even more to His abounding throughout the book of Ruth. -Sarah | HOW DO you say goodbye to your best friend? |
