Today was such a sweet day with family and friends. It was a long, tough and wet day but I wouldn't have wanted to spend my eighteenth birthday any other way.
Today we woke up super early (by super early I mean 7AM....) to ride to Damascus, VA to ride the Creeper Trail! I rode the Creeper Trail when I was younger and I've always wanted to go back...so here we are. The ride was great. The scenery was breathtaking and reminded me of a few verses I love:
"The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out into the earth,
their words to the end of the world."
-Psalm 19.1-4
How could you look around on a beautiful trail like that and not be reminded of the glory of God?
Let the beauty of God's creation be a constant reminder of God's overflowing love and presence in our daily lives. That is a reason to celebrate.
